Why glass sex toys?

Glass sex toys have been hot for a few years now. Sure, they look pretty, but why all the rage over glass? Glass is non porous. That means that it doesn’t absorb germs and bacteria, making it safer and easier to clean.  You only need to rinse your toy with soap and water, or you can even put it on the top shelf in the dishwasher! Non porous also means that it doesn’t absorb lubricants, so you can use a lot less- one drop will do.

Another great thing about glass is that it quickly warms to body temperature with use, making it feel much more realistic than plastic. It can also be cooled and heated prior to use. Just soak it in a pan of hot or cold water, but don’t expose it to extreme temperature changes by putting it in the freezer or microwave.

Glass is more durable than plastic. It doesn’t degrade over time and as long as you don’t abuse it, your glass toy will last a lifetime. Glass sex toys are made of tempered glass (think Pyrex®) that will not break or chip with normal use. I’ve even seen a demonstration where glass toys were repeatedly thrown against cement and they didn’t break! Now, I’m not suggesting you do this, but know that if you drop a glass sex toy, chances are it will probably be okay.

The best thing about glass sex toys is the smoothness of the glass. It just feels better! It’s not a sensation you can read about, you just need to try one and feel the difference!
